We ensure your room/furniture and walkways are all well covered before we start the removal of your old fireplace.

Your old Fireplace is then removed.

Now we can open up your chimney’s chamber, widen it to the original builder’s size and by fitting a new lintel we can also gain extra height if required. (You’ll be surprised how big your fireplace really is!)
All the rubbish is bagged up ready for disposal by us or by you.

A new hearth can now be installed from Black Limestone (which we cut to size on site) to pre made Granite hearths the choice is yours.

A two coat lime mix render is then applied to the inside of the chamber. The lime helps the render to withstand the heat from your new stove. A base and finish coat of plaster is applied to your chimney breast face and returns as required.

Now we give you a week for the plaster and render to dry and for you to paint inside the chamber before the stove gets in your way!

Install day! This involves us installing your new Stainless steel flexible liner down your chimney, installing your bespoke made metal register plate and all connections to your new stove. A carbon monoxide alarm is fitted to your ceiling (in accordance with regulations) and a chimney cowl/bird guard is fitted to your chimney pot.

For the finishing touches we can supply and fit a wooden mantel shelf/beam using a floating fixing system.
